BULLYING

CYBERBULLYING

cyberbullying or cyberharassment is a form of bullying or harassment using electronic forms of contact. Cyberbullying has become increasingly common, especially among teenagers.[1]Awareness in the United States has risen in the 2010s, due in part to high-profile cases. Bullying or harassment can be identified by repeated behavior and an intent to harm.Harmful bullying behavior can include posting rumors about a person, threats, sexual remarks, disclose victims' personal information, or pejorative labels
Several US states and other countries have laws specific to regulating cyberbullying.[These laws are designed to specifically target teen cyberbullying, while others use laws extending from the scope of physical harassment.[In cases of adult cyberharassment, these reports are usually filed beginning with local police.[8] Research has demonstrated a number of serious consequences of cyberbullying victimization.[9] Victims may have lower self-esteem, increased suicidal ideation, and a variety of emotional responses, retaliating, being scared, frustrated, angry, and depressed.[10]Individuals have reported that cyberbullying can be more harmful than traditional bullying.[11]
Internet trolling is a common form of bullying over the Internet in an online community (such as in online gaming or social media) in order to elicit a reaction, disruption, or for their own personal amusement.[12][13] Cyberstalking is another form of bullying or harassment that uses electronic communications to stalk a victim may pose a credible threat to the safety of the victim.[14]
Bullying is the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuseintimidate, or aggressively

dominate others. The behavior is often repeated and habitual.
Rationalizations for such behavior sometimes include differences of social class, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, appearance, behavior, body language, personality, reputation, lineage, strength, size or ability.[2][3]If bullying is done by a group, it is called mobbing.
Bullying can be defined in many different ways. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has no legal definition of bullying,[5] while some states in the United States have laws against it.[6] Bullying is divided into four basic types of abuse – emotional(sometimes called relational), verbalphysical, and cyber

Bullying

These days many kids and teens are being victims of the many forms of bullying: cyber bullying, physical bullying , verbal bullying...
The bullied often have no one by there sides. In addition, if it's verbal bullying, they may believe that whatever the bullies are saying is true, which can lead to anxiety. If it's physical bullying, they'll be too afraid to tell anybody and will end up being used to being hit. Furthermore, i think cyber bullying is also very dangerous, you can be threatened by someone you don't even know and not be able to define why this person is bullying you.
Finally, if someone ever has the courage to tell you that he's being bullied, immediately try to help him and tell an adult.
Why a person might be chosen as a bullying target :
Bullying is when someone is being hurt either by words or actions on purpose, usually more than once, feels bad because of it, and has a hard time stopping what is happening to them.
We don’t always know why people bully or why they pick certain people to bully because bullying can happen to anyone.  The best answer I can give you is to tell you the most common reasons why a person might be chosen as a bullying target.
A person might be more of a bullying target if they:
* Are seen as weak or not able to fight back
* Are less popular and don’t have many friends
* Are depressed, anxious, or have low self-esteem
* Don’t get along well with others or are seen as annoying
No one deserves to be bullied, no matter what they look or act like.
