Shopping is an activity very commonly practiced nowadays in our consumerist society. For example, online shopping has become a widespread means of purchasing items with the advent of the Internet, however I for once am not someone who frequently practices it and as such can only advise against fraudulent websites or scams.  I have not said "consumerist" lightly, for in our society it has become commonplace to shop for items that may not be useful, or that will not be used.  Aside from that, shopping is certainly a beneficial activity as it provides someone with items needed, be it clothes, appliances, gadgets or accessories.
